INDUSTRY NEWSIncrease in ICS fees from Jan 1, 2020

Starting January 1, 2020, the Department of Agriculture, as part of larger service fee increases, will increase the Full Import Declaration fee currently charged on formal Customs declarations lodged as of this date.

The increased charges are as shown below:

  • Full Import Declaration charge—air from $33 to $38
  • Full Import Declaration charge—sea from $42 to $49

This will mean that Import Processing charges will increase as shown below

  • for sea consignments lodged electronically with a value of $10,000 or less, the import processing charge will increase from $92.00 to $99.00;
  • for sea consignments lodged electronically with a value of $10,000 or more, the import processing charge will increase from $194.00 to $201.00;
  • for air and post consignments lodged electronically with a value of $10,000 or less, the import processing charge will increase from $83.00 to $88.00; and
  • for air and post consignments lodged electronically with a value of $10,000 or more; the import processing charge will increase from $185.00 to $190.00.
